Whether you are a Falcons fan, a Patriot supporter or you just really love funny commercials, chances are that this Sunday you will be tuning in to the big game! But how are you going to watch the game? With the increasing amount of consumers opting out of purchasing cable, sports and TV fans alike are looking to other solutions to consume their media.
Back in the day of tube televisions, cable was the only answer. When LED’s and LCD’s came around, cable was still the main way that sports fans watched their sports and got the latest highlights. As we all know, the internet has changed EVERYTHING!
Now there are tons of options for how you can watch, not just the Superbowl, but any of your favorite games! First, lets talk about how technology has evolved and some of the cool and affordable products you can use to turn your basic LED or LCD into a smart television without having to pay outrageous monthly cable costs. There are all kinds of products from a range of brands. The Apple TV is going to be a bit more expensive than other products (no surprise there). Apple charges $149.00 for the Apple TV, it gives you access to a plethora of different apps that allow you to watch television like you are surfing the web! With over 1600 video apps to choose from you will never wonder what to watch again, although it may be hard to settle on your favorite movie. It super easy to set up just, plug an HDMI cord from the back of the box into the HDMI port in your TV and presto manifesto!
Google’s Chromecast and the Amazon Firestick are also awesome choices that are way less expensive. They are priced at $35 for the Chromecast and $40 for the Firestick and they offer the same options for live streaming, the only difference is they plug directly into the HDMI port in your television
Now let’s get to the good stuff! We are going to touch base on the top three streaming sites/apps we recommend for this Sunday and how you can use those sites to stream the big game for free!
NUMBER THREE: BOSSCAST
Bosscast is one of the best free sports streaming sites online! As with many streaming sites make sure you have your pop up blocker on, this site wont produce a lot of pop ups but let’s be honest…you dont really want any popups when you’re streaming the big game. Another cool feature of this streaming site is the ability to live chat with other guys/girls interested in the same game you are!
NUMBER TWO: VIPLEAGUE
VIP League is one of the best websites that allows you to stream many sports like Cricket, Football, Hockey, Cycling, and Nascar. Better still, this site is also available in other languages like Francis, Deutsch etc. No matter where you are in the world you can enjoy sports in your language! You can also check out upcoming sports events easily. This site also provides some other features like changing the theme of the site or changing the time zone. On the homepage of this site, you can check out a lot of categories like football, basketball and baseball from which you can easily check all different events related to that sports category.
NUMBER ONE: WATCHESPN
The Superbowl is the most watched televised event in the entire United States. So, if you are going to stream it, you might as well do it right. WATCHESPN has a downloadable app for all of the above mentioned platforms (Amazon Firestick, Chromecast and Apple TV) that will allow you to stream the game on the big screen! This is a feature the other two options do not allow. This streaming service is one of the top sports channels in the country but it does only work for United States based sports. If you are looking to explore sports in other nations, I’d recommend going with a different service.
There you have it! Now go marinate those chicken wings and start preparing your queso, and enjoy SUPERBOWL LI!
